Deeper Outdoor skills for home schooled children aged 9- 14yr

While working on various long term forest school projects we have found a pattern, that children aged between 9 – 14 years tend to slowly ‘disconnect’ from forest school activity. This is not really surprising, after all, in it’s purest form forest school is an education model designed for nursery and KS1 children, not teenagers. We however, believe that children of all ages should have the opportunity to develop their skills and creativity in ways that are appropriate and engaging for them.

As both trained forest school practitioners and bush craft instructors , we are pleased to now have an offering that embraces the child led forest school approach and takes this to new levels. We offer a flexible progression route that covers a strong grounding in usable bushcraft skills, with the option to move forward to complete the lOL Level 2 bushcraft skills award for young people aged 14 -16, We also offer a programme of job ready qualifications for those wishing to work in outdoor education post 16 years.
including Accredited Bush craft courses, outdoor education, lvl 2 outdoor first aid and outdoor food hygiene
