August seemed to fly by and we are already another month on since our last update. The Wellness Project has been storming ahead and we have lots of great developments to tell you about this month.
Our New Allotment
We are thrilled to to have taken on an allotment, this will serve two rolls firstly to provide orgnic ingrediants for our wild cooking workshops and hopefully to be used for future eco thearapy projects in 2021.
There is a lot of work to do over the coming months take a look around in the video below.
Chris gets back to basics, at his Bushcraft and mindfullness training
Chris has begun his training this month with 2 courses put on by Woodland classroom the first was a two day bushcraft skills workshop where Chris brushed up on skills such as water filteration, building shelters from natural materials (which he slept in), fire lighting and sharp tool use.
“The workshop was of a highstandard, and It was great to spend some time learning in the woods with like minded people from different walks of life, I can’t wait to contuine with the next weekend course which looks at bushcraft from a more theraputic angle and focuses on mindfullness. But it does not stop there I then have a foraging course followed by a week long course on advanced nature therapy.. which will be a serious undertaking , but allow us to really hit the ground running with our tribe project.
Clean up at ‘The Backies’
Chris Spent the day with the Allison and the team at ‘protect the backies’ a group of local lache residents who are passionate about regenerating their greenspace and using it for community action.
We hope to be part of the rejuvination and even host one of our wellness projects there so take a look at the video, im sure you will agree that this group are passionate about their local community.
